Private View - Pete Dover - Tonight!

There are at least two print exhibitions opening in town today: in addition to the Liverpool Printmaking at Merchant Taylors Girls School (see earlier post) Editions Ltd. is hosting a retrospective of Merseyside artist and teacher Pete Dover.

 

Pete Dover, Fine Art Programme Leader at Hope University, has been printing for 31 years. A retrospective exhibition, with at least one print for each year of his practice, opens tonight (Thursday 15 March) and continues until 14 April.

The prints on display include collotypes, monotypes, relief, rust and screen prints: a wonderful array of colour, texture and imagery with a strong Merseyside flavour, as you’d expect from this local lad. Olwen is enjoying hanging the show. She hopes you will enjoy looking at it.
