Among the not-local would be Dallas-based Cruz Ortiz. Cruz makes prints, video and performance pieces. The piece showing in Gallery 4 (upstairs) features film and text, the latter printed in the Bluecoat's screen print studio during his recent visit to the 'Pool.
He had a harmonica with him. I asked if he could play. He said 'no, but it helps me relax enough to work'.
