Cyanotype workshop with Sian Hughes

Liverpool based artist Sian Hughes who is based at Bridewell Studios, demonstrated how to create detailed photographic images on paper and fabric in this one day workshop on the 13th November. Workshop participants used paper coated with a light sensitive solution (a mixture of ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide) which turns a stunning deep indigo in the sun or under ultra violet light. The group experimented with single and double exposures and exposed organic objects such as feathers and leaves as well as photographic images.
